Another use of Draft Option for bloggers?

draft optoin wordpressMost of the bloggers, like me, dont use this option as much as it should be used. I am not talking about those blogs which have permanents guest posts, no doubt they make the maximum use of draft option of wordpress. But this is only one use and there are a lot of others. On the other hand, a blog being run by a single author lacks in using even this facility.

Now the point is how to use this facility and most importantly why to use this one. Everyone writes a post and then he tries to publish it as soon as possible but the post fails to grab the attentionof its readers.

Why?

A simple answer can be “hurry”. But this is another issue to be discussed that we should be in hurry or not.

Here are some uses of draft option:

  • Saving the post for later review
  • If you want to add up further
  • A scheduled event which may need further pruning
  • Fear of losing data, due to shut down of PC (electricity failure may be a cause)

But the use which I want to share with you people is storing ideas.

You will believe there are a lot of ideas which come in your mind during surfing the net, but they go away if you don’t give attention to them. So just use this option to store all those ideas and later on you can write more about this idea.

Most bloggers will advise you to write down the idea on a paper whenever it flashes, that is correct as well if you are not near to your PC or you don’t have internet facility right now. But if you have access, I will advise you to save online using this drafting option. It will not only ease your work, but also help you in saving a lot of time which you can use for other activities.

Now I am using this option intensively…. having 20 drafts… which need a little pruning and they will be onilne accordingly.

So how many drafts have you got in your draft option of wordpress??
