Facebook can use your pictures to make facebook ads and these ads appear in your friends facebook page. Although facebook admins have posted a article on facebook blog that they have stopped such activities but still there is a chance that they may use it in some way or another.

A month back, facebook gave the option to select vanity URLs that read www.facebook.com/username. At the time, users were advised to “choose wisely” because the username they selected would be stuck with them for life.

But now it seems that facebook has decided to give an option to change their usernames. Although it is still not official, but if you open the facebook and go to setting page, you will find a way to change the usernames.
